The theme this year in 5th grade at TVCS is

"Team Newman". 

All throughout the year we will be working together to strengthen ourselves spiritually, academically, emotionally, and mentally.

You will be earning "money" once every two weeks as you get paid for your classroom job.  We will keep the same jobs for two weeks at a time.  On the second Friday, you will "train" the next person that is to take over your position.  The job information sheet that you receive when you begin your job will be kept in your TEAM Notebook, and you will use it to learn the responsibilities that come with your job.  On the Friday that you switch jobs, you will write in your journal about the job that you just finished up.  Remember:  if you do not do your job properly, or someone else has to do it for you, YOU WILL NOT BE PAID!  This year, we are also going to have a class "store" where you can purchase items you may need on payday!
