Mrs. Carrie Newman

       This is my fourth year teaching 5th grade at TVCS, and I am really excited to get to work with the great kids that are coming into my class! 

       I taught preschool at TVCDC for three and a half years before my husband, Kent, and I became parents.  We have three kids now.  Elizabeth, age 19, is a freshman at Marshall University.  She graduated from TVCS and was Salutatorian of her class!  Christian is 17 and he will be a senior this year at Teays Valley.  Christian loves sports and he is a really good athlete.  I am his biggest fan!!!  Courtney is in the 8th grade...she's my baby at 13!  Courtney is a cheerleader for TVCS. 

      After the kids were attending TVCS, I began to substitute in the high school.  I ended up taking a long-term substitute position in 7-12 grade Science.  That was a surprise!!  I had a great time.  On the last day of school the 5th grade teacher quit and our principal, Mr. Davis, asked me to take the job.  And the rest, as they say, "is history"!
